About Me

I’m a potter, a mother, and a bit of a kid at heart. The world creates so much wonder for me. My kids and the beautiful books we read together is a major inspiration for me. Pottery helps me focus my thoughts in a world that has become increasingly overstimulating for me. My hope is that my work speaks to people and helps others let go of the seriousness and embrace the weird.

I built a wood kiln with my father and friend in 2016 when I graduated from NBCCD in Fredericton, NB. For years the rich beautiful organically created surfaces that come from wood firing ceramics was all I wanted. It was hard for me to let go of it while I raised my young kids BUT I have found such joy in the colourful exploration I’ve been doing over the past few years I can’t imagine ever letting go of that now. My youngest (set of twins) are slowly becoming more independent and I am looking forward to finding the balance of high fire and my electric work.

Wow!

My ultimate goal is to create a connection between user and the pottery. To help elevate the everyday.
